Anne would be happy to create a painting or pastel from your favorite photo. You will notice in her work that she loves to create a mood or feeling with people involved in an activity. To her, the charm of a successful photo which will hold "memory value" over the years occurs when the viewer feels he is "looking in" on the scene. Thus, as time moves on and the person ages, the scene alone stirs wonderful memories of the captured moment. This mood is lost when the subject is smiling out at the viewer; instead, a "posed" look occurs, which seems unnatural to the mood of the scene. Knowing this may help you to select a successful photo and to differentiate between a portrait and candid photo. |
Anne is also happy to do portraits (posed faces looking into the camera), landscapes, buildings, homes and still-life memories. In all cases be sure the images are clear and the lighting is good. In landscapes, take the photos on sunny days so that shadows are created. These help to create the mood of this type of painting. Interested in a photo shoot session? Ask Anne! |
